Total Weapon Count and Beta Coverage

WARDOGS shipped with 37 distinct weapons live in the Early Access vendor on September 10, 2026. During the August 2026 closed beta, community data miners and third-party guide sites had catalogued 33 of them across nine weapon categories; the remaining four populated the shop by launch. All 37 are buyable now, each with its own cash price and XP track.

All weapons are purchased with persistent in-match Cash. Players start every match with $10,000 and must decide how much to spend on a primary, a sidearm, attachments, armour, medical supplies, and deployables. Because death strips you of your current loadout, the price tag of each weapon directly determines how quickly you can re-deploy after being killed.

Weapon availability is further gated by a class-level system for certain firearms. The Assault class, for example, must reach level 10 before the Galil unlocks, level 20 for the M4, and level 35 for the FAL. This means the cheapest or free options are often the most accessible early-game choices.

All 37 Weapons by Category

The table below lists every confirmed weapon organised by category. Where a price has been recorded from beta data it is shown in dollars. Weapons marked as level-gated include the class and level requirement. Weapons with no recorded price appeared in the beta shop but their cost was not captured by community trackers.

Price Distribution and Economic Strategy

The price spread in WARDOGS is deliberately wide. Three assault rifles — the Bushmaster M17S (Lonestar), A-91 (Valkyra) and KH-2002 (Manticore) — are completely free, making them the default choice for players who have just died and need to re-deploy with minimal spending. At the opposite end, the AMR 50 anti-materiel rifle costs $8,800, nearly 90 percent of a player's starting budget. Sidearms range from $200 (GGX 17) to $900 (Deagle), while launchers span $2,000 (RPG-7) to $6,000 (MGL-40).

Ammo is a separate purchase from the weapon itself. Basic ammunition starts at around $10 per unit, while specialised or high-calibre rounds can cost up to $250. Guides consistently recommend carrying loose ammunition rather than pre-loaded magazines, as loose rounds take up less backpack space and can be sold back if needed.

A practical early-game loadout costs approximately $3,600 and covers a primary weapon, a secondary sidearm, body armour, and a helmet. This leaves over $6,000 for medical supplies, deployables, or a vehicle, which is often the smarter investment than pouring everything into a single expensive gun.

How to Choose Your First Weapon

Community tier lists from the August 2026 beta place the T-21, FAL, SVD, and PKM in the top S tier. The T-21 stands out as the best value-for-money weapon: at only $600 it offers full-auto fire, 910 m/s muzzle velocity, and 0.87 MOA accuracy. For players who cannot yet unlock level-gated rifles, the free Bushmaster M17S shares identical paper stats with the A-91 and KH-2002 (5.56x45mm, 28 damage, 700 RPM, 715 m/s, 1.5 MOA), making it a perfectly viable choice for the first few matches.

The key insight from experienced players is that weapon price does not correlate linearly with performance. A cheap loadout in the Hot Zone still counts as a full player slot, and the doubled cash rewards inside the Hot Zone often offset the cost of re-buying a budget weapon after death.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many weapons are in WARDOGS at launch?

BULKHEAD has confirmed 37 weapons for the full release. The August 2026 beta exposed 33 of those, with the remaining four expected to arrive during Early Access.

What is the cheapest weapon in WARDOGS?

The Bushmaster M17S assault rifle is completely free. It fires 5.56x45mm in semi-auto and burst modes, making it the go-to choice for re-deploying after death without spending any cash.

What is the most expensive weapon?

The AMR 50 anti-materiel sniper rifle costs $8,800, which is nearly 90 percent of the $10,000 starting budget. It delivers extremely high single-shot damage but represents a massive financial risk if you die.

Are any weapons locked behind a level system?

Yes. WARDOGS uses six role-based progression tracks: Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver and Pilot. Assault-track examples include the Galil (Lvl 10), M4 (Lvl 20) and FAL (Lvl 35). Recon-track sniper rifles include the SKS (Lvl 5), Mosin Nagant (Lvl 10, $50,000 one-time unlock), SV98 (Lvl 19, $100,000) and MK22 (Lvl 25, $150,000). Tanks have moved from the Wardog account track to the Driver track for Early Access.
